Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy, also called talk therapy, generally refers to any of the various types of therapies that involve speaking to a psychologist, counsellor, or other qualified professional. Psychotherapy can be conducted online or face-to-face, and is suitable for individuals, couples, groups, and families.

People usually go to psychotherapy to work through any psychological, emotional, or behavioural issues that are impeding their mental health and wellbeing. Psychotherapy sessions can also be used to explore self-growth and personal values, and to improve competencies in areas such as problem-solving and social skills.

Psychotherapy is successfully used to treat a variety of mental health difficulties, including mood disorders (e.g. depression), anxiety disorders (e.g. OCD), chronic stress, and anger issues.

Some of the different types of psychotherapy we offer at Counseling Perspective are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Transactional Analysis, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

If you are interested in psychotherapy, please reach out via email, phone, or WhatsApp to book an appointment to speak to one of our experienced counsellors.
