Psychotherapist and Counsellor

M.SC. (Counselling Psychology), B.A. (Psychology), Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavior Therapist

I am a trained psychotherapist and counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology based in Singapore. I am also trained in Rational Emotional and Cognitive Behavior Therapy under the leading experts in the field (Albert Ellis Institute, New York). Having broad experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups, I offer a safe and confidential space for you.

With a keen interest in people wellness and psychology, I have studied the subject formally since my school days and have over 8 years’ experience of working in this field. In the past, I have worked as an Employee Assistance Program counsellor and corporate trainer in Singapore with multi-nationals like Credit Suisse, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, and government bodies like Land Transport Authority among others. I have also worked with women special private psychotherapy clinics, universities (St. Xavier’s College and St Anne’s Degree College for Women, India), hospitals (St Martha’s Hospital, India) as well as adolescent programs like Global Potential (New York) and Double Discovery Centre at Columbia University (New York).

Being an expat myself, and having lived and worked in India, New York and Singapore, I have a multi-cultural perspective and understanding of the challenges of an expat life. I am also bilingual in English and Hindi.

I offer an integrative approach in my work, using tools from REBT, CBT, person centered, existential, solution focused and behavioral therapies, based on your needs. As a therapist, I believe in a client-centered approach, helping clients discover how to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, work related issues, marital conflicts, divorce and separation, parenting, life transitions and relationships.

I am a member of the Singapore Psychological Society and an international affiliate member of the American Psychological Association. I also seek regular supervision and training to deepen my skills.

Both face to face and Skype sessions are available. Please enquire.
